As a solopreneur, you don’t have the cash flow of a big corporation. You have to be smart with your investments. And, yes, it takes money to make money. There is no way around it.
One of the smartest things you can do (and the smartest investment) is to find out where your ideal clients/customers are in mass and get in front of them.
But how do you do that if you don’t have a lot of cash?
You start small and find a platform where you can reach your ideal peeps. One of the best ways to do this is to use Facebook advertising.
Here are four big reasons why:
Cost and Affordability – We all know that traditional advertising is EXPENSIVE. Most start ups and solo based businesses do NOT have the funds to advertise this way. With platforms like Facebook advertising and other online paid advertising platforms, soloprenuers can actually afford to pay for ads that reach their target audience. With Facebook ads, you control how much you spend, it’s easy to get started AND you can start seeing results within 24 hours. Yay!
Reach – Since there are 1 billion ACTIVE users on Facebook, FB ads is a great way to get in front of the people that matter to you and your business. In a matter of a couple of days you can reach thousands of people.
Targeting and Retargeting – With Facebook ads – your ads are as good as your targeting. This is a good thing, because you can get better and better with targeting. You can learn how to get in front of the EXACT type of person you want to get in front of. Targeting precisely is the KEY to successful ad campaigns. Facebook ads make it super easy to target.
The other perk with Facebook ads is the ability to retarget your existing audiences. So for example, you can run ads to a blog post and capture leads via a pop up on that page – but what happens to people who don’t sign up? Usually they are gone and you’ve essentially lost that lead. BUT with retargeting you can set it up to advertise that same freebie offer (or another one) to those that came to your blog post, but didn’t sign up. How cool is that!?? There are many ways you can implement this cool retargeting tool too!
Community Building – When I say community building, I’m talking about your audience as a whole. You can easily and quickly build likes to your FB page, group your Facebook group, build your email list, send traffic to your website, and on top of all of that you can also build lookalike audiences from your real audience. If your community or audience online is non-existent right now, you can change all of that very quickly with a few strategic Facebook ad campaigns.
The key to getting great results with Facebook ads is to test, test, test. Don’t run one ad and get discouraged! And if you need help – get help here.
