It is so easy to fall into the trap of thinking we can do this or that ONE thing and we will be a success! The truth is that it takes hard smart work to get your business where you want it. It takes consistent effort and commitment. There are no overnight riches! If you want a long term successful business remember there are no shortcuts.
Shortcuts are things I have avoided thinking I didn’t really need to do them: build an email list, create a blog, connect with others. The reality is that you will grow a stronger, long term successful business if you incorporate these things into your business.
I want to know! What things have you avoided that you know you need to do? Let me know below! Click to Tweet This Post
Well said Lisa! We waste so much time trying to search for those shortcuts!
Isn’t that the truth! Time we cannot get back!
Its nice to see you on video Lisa 🙂 You are so right, I spent a few years looking for the shortcuts and silver bullets. It was wasted time.
If only I stuck to the fundamentals as you mention, I would have been further along.
ah video it only gets better from here right LOL. I know right?!? Well here’s to the future! 🙂
I hate you LISA. You have shattered my whole business plan. Just kidding Lisa, you know i love your no nonsense biz tips.
You are so right “There are no short cuts” and that relationships are key to your success.
Oh man I just ruined it all for you! LOL You are too funny! Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment!
Great post Lisa! Sounds simple, yet why is it so hard?! It is for me at least! Luckily even though it can be tough to focus on the long term, I’m starting to find out that it is sooo worth it.
Hey Bridget! I know…so simple, yet so hard? For me I think I was originally moving in desperation and wanting to accomplish certain goals overnight. So I got sucked into thinking and doing certain things that did not benefit me in the long run. We got to be careful about why we are doing things and who we are doing them for! Thanks for stopping by – I appreciate it!
The good thing about not have money to spend on shortcuts is that it forces you to do things the old fashioned way. I guess I’m lucky in a way.
Hey Clara, yeah LOL that is very true!!
