This is part three in the series Creating a Niche Service. You can read Part 1 here and Part 2 here.
Well the Thanksgiving holiday took away most of my momentum unfortunately. But prior to my little break I was getting a lot of great feedback about the niche service. Many people thought it was a great idea. I started letting people know in various Facebook groups and I got my first sale within the first day or two of having my website up. It was a calendar job and the client was very happy with the end result. She let others know about it and she sent another client my way. Woohoo!
I also offered to do some free work so I could get more practice and more testimonials. I am still working on that. The most important thing I need to do right now is put up before and after pictures. I have to make sure people can see the difference in the after pic. That’s the best way I know how to demonstrate that I can do the job.
So from this point on it’s all about marketing. It’s easy to set up a service and get it going. The hard part is continuing to promote it and get the word out.
[Tweet “80% of business time should be spent on promotion!”] This is what I’ll be focusing on through networking and getting referrals.
I’d love to know how your niche service is coming along! Let me know in the comments below!
